Thanks - that's my sweetie Coyotito ("baby coyote") - a little feral kitten I rescued back in 2005. He never tamed up properly to anyone but me (and even with me, a strange look or sudden move can send him flying for cover). I took the picture after an attempted adoption in 2007 - Tito escaped through a cracked window in the new house and was lost in the woods for a week. I finally trapped him and brought him back home and that was our reunion picture. We were so happy :)

I'm so deeply saddened with the loss of Boris, Hon. Thanks for giving him a terrific year in your loving home. My thoughts are with you during this very difficult period. image

Thank you - it was really a pleasure to have him. I expected to lose him soon, but that couldn't stop him from charming me to love him so much.

But "oranges" are so sweet too, aren't they?

Where are you in California? I'm in Santa Clara.

Missing Orangey a lot. It is so different without him, even though I have lots of other kitties. He was everywhere!

Oh yes, sweet as pie! Rory (my firstborn) is a big giant infant much of the time. In fact, as I type right now, he is draped across my shoulders, trying to nurse on my neck. He's definitely my most affectionate cat, but also my rowdiest. He jumps on top of doors and shower curtain rods, or onto my back when I'm not expecting it, and he often bites me (once hard enough to warrant a doctor's visit and antibiotics just a few weeks ago!).

Coyotito, in my avatar, is a foster kitty (probably not leaving though - people aren't lining up for neurotic cats) and a bit of a non-traditional orange boy - he's very energetic and swings wildly between being desperately affectionate and scared out of his mind.

I'm in Oakland, not far from you at all! I'm with Feral Cat Foundation (www.feralcatfoundation.org) which covers Alameda and Contra Costa counties.

I'm sure it's just awful missing Orangey... I can't even imagine how I'd feel if Rory were to pass away. I would be devastated for sure. It's amazing how empty a multi-cat household can feel when even just one of them is gone.

Hello! You are very cool! I wonder why you love orange cats!!

    Hi there,

My "first-born son", now 6.5, is an orange boy and he's been a handful from Day 1 - but there's nobody else like him in the world! I've found nearly all of my orange fosters (and many of the other colors too, but the oranges, always!) to be full of the dickens too.

Nice to have you on the board!
